The saying goes “If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it.” The “It” in this case is your form. Now there is both a way to measure and improve your form or movements. 3DWearable’s Total Optimized Motion or T.O.M. system can track your movement and give you feedback to make corrections in real time.

 

We took a laboratory grade tracking system and brought it out into the real world. Then we tweaked it a bit more to give you feedback on your form. It’s like having a coach on the sideline for every single training session. You will learn your best motion(s) even faster. 

 

We use IMU sensors on your body. What is an IMU (inertial measurement unit)? Well, it’s what guides rockets, drones, & jets with precision. We shrunk them down to (dimensions and weight), added Bluetooth radios, an 8-hour battery and built an app so you can drive all this technology from the iOS or Android smartphone you already own.

 

How does T.O.M. work? The 3DWearable sensors are applied to various landmarks on your body (don’t worry we will teach you how to find these). Then we dynamically capture the full range of motion for that landmark. Finally, we designate a Zone of Motion within the full range of motion. If you exceed the limits of the zone of motion you then get warnings.

What is an IMU?
An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) combines accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers to measure various parameters during athletic activities. These include:

  1. Acceleration: Captures rapid movements, sprints, and changes in speed.

  2. Deceleration: Monitors controlled stops and gradual speed reductions.

  3. Angular Velocity: Tracks rotational movements (e.g., spins, turns).

  4. Orientation: Determines an athlete’s position in 3D space
